Acne Scars / Acne Scar Treatments / Autologous Fat Transfer

Autologous Fat Transfer

There are many different ways to treat your acne scars. It can be done through skin drafting, laser, collagen injection or many other alternative treatments. Autologous fat transfer, is also a very affective method to remove acne, it involves taking fat from one part of the body and injecting it into the skin under the scar. The efficiency of this method is very good and is especially beneficial for raising depressed scars and making them less noticeable. However these results are not permanent and thus this procedure may need to be repeated every few months.

This process is great as it uses your own body fat, and not only helps diminish acne scars but it can plump up the lips and lines in the face and thus enables people to look years younger for years to come. Since the Body fat is a filler that is longer lasting and completely non-allergenic so it is safer and more natural-looking than the alternatives methods used.

This procedure is performed on an in a clinic usually and doesn’t require hospitalization thus the cost comes down. It is paramount that advise should be taken from a dermatologist as these treatments have different effects for different people.
