Causes of Acne Scars

  1. As with all types of acne scars, are caused by the damage in the tissue. When tissue is damaged, body produces collagen and sends it to the damaged area. Sometimes body produces excessive collagen. The disproportionate collagen builds into a fibrous mass that ends up becoming an acne blemish with an uneven shape.
