Dermabrasion

Dermabrasion is another procedure for skin disorders specially acne scars it is also used to improve the other facial scar caused on the skin by accidents or previous surgery, and is also effective in smoothing facial wrinkles, around the mouth. Apart from these it is used to remove the pre-cancerous growths called keratoses. Dermaplaning is commonly used to treat deep acne scars.

Dermabrasion and dermaplaning work by "renewing" the skin's top layers through a method of controlled surgical scraping. This procedure softens the sharp edges of the affected skin which in turn gives the skin a smoother shinier appearance.

Both these treatments can be performed on small areas of the skin on the entire facial area. They are commonly used in combination with procedures such as facelift, or chemical peel.

People who are considering this procedure to renew their skin, you should always take the advise of at least two dermatologist as to some this procedure could be very effective while to others it can be useless, since a lot depends on individual circumstances.
