Soft Scars, Superficial Scars

Acne as we know is common skin disorder. Acne in its severe state often leaves nasty scars where the skin gets a "volcanic" shape. A scar is actually the results of the process of healing or the biologic process of wound repair in the skin and other tissues of the body that have become damaged or dead as a result of acne. Superficial and deep soft scars are variable in size, and have sloping edges that merge with normal skin.

Superficial and deep soft scars have variable sizes, and their edges are sloped that unite with normal skin thus certain treatments are ineffective against them as other skin could also be damaged in the process. The event of scarring has too many things which are not yet fully understood. Among the people affected there exist a range of different variations in scarring and treatment, which means that different people react differently.

Same can be said about the life span of these scars. Some people experience minor or no changes while others who are fortunate react well to the process of treatment. The monetary side involved in this process does also play a big part in choosing the treatment. The severity of the scar, the place where it is located and type of treatments that can be done are other factors that have to be used to treat acne scars. The best way is to get the opinion of a dermatologist and then proceed with the treatment.
